Gems in Zonke
Lindiwe is a grade 10-12 English educator. In her
Gems in Zonke” project she created and maintained online platforms
(YouTube channel, Facebook Page and Twitter page) that report news and positive developments in the school community. Due to social
ills that plague the school community such as violence, gangsterism, substance abuse
and teenage pregnancy, positive developments and good news from the school were
overshadowed. The platform showcased learners'
knowledge, creativeness, skills and talents while also exposing them to
opportunities.
